In all honesty, the job did take more than two days, but I did all of the work outside of plumbing in two days. One day was the demo, the next was all of the re-building and installing accessories.
Let’s get started.
Day One – Demolition
Take it back to the studs and here’s after the plumber came and put in new valves.
Day Two – Building it All Back Up
The owner took one look at that old ratty insulation and had us replace it because, of course, this is where you bathe, and you want your bathroom to be a clean place, all the way back to the bones of the house. Out with the old!
The new shower pan is installed.
I look happy!
New insulation is in and so is the blocking for the many grab bars we will be installing.
And the backer board.
And the final! It was late, I almost never work that late. It was after 9 pm, but it’s FINISHED! The plumber will come the next day to put on the shower trim and the project will be 100% complete.
